Oliver ~Part 3

 At the funeral parlor....

 Another night with friends....

I have one more group of pictures after this post & I'll be all caught up. Now that things are slowing down, I'll have less postings for awhile. The next play won't be till November (probably). All the shows Hannah wants to do with Starlight are in 2017 although Little Mermaid auditions & rehearsals would start in Nov. We're not sure what the MoezArt show for the fall will be yet.

Oliver ~Part 2

Sorry for the blurry pics & a sideways pic. I tried over several shows to get pics so some may seem like duplicates.

Dove family #2

 Mama & sibling #1
 Mama & both babies.

The picture above was of sibling #2 last night.
The picture above was both siblings last night before #1 took off.

I had every intention of posting more Oliver pictures today but just need to post these few pictures of our 2nd dove family of the year instead. Not long after the first set of doves left the nest, the mama was back on the nest. I like to think it's the same mama & that she likes us:) Anyway, there were two more babies for the bird lover in the family to watch (Joshua). I like to see them too even though there's poop to clean up. It's easy to watch them since this nest is on the patio pillar that faces our sliding glass door.

On a side note, a different mama dove made her nest in the old nest on the other pillar that faces the pool. Her egg dropped to the ground & she left.

So yesterday we saw the "babies" were left alone & knew it was time for them to leave. Sigh. They grow up so fast! Mama was hanging out at the side of the yard. The bigger looking one in the last pic is #1 & seemed ready to fly when I went out with the camera & zoomed in on it last night. He/she seemed very nervous of me being out there. The next time I checked that evening, it was gone & sibling #2 was alone for the night.
When I woke up this morning the nest was empty & I saw what I think were the parents on a side wall & our back wall so I figured #2 must be somewhere on the ground nearby. Thankfully for #2, I saw it.....in the pool! I hurried outside to scoop it out. He/she was still floating there (alive). I set it in a place near the wall & some green covering. When I checked on it a few minutes later it was gone so I hope it made it to better shelter & the parents give it better lessons and all is well. I'm pretty proud of myself for saving a life today!
