Honk! Jr. Select Troupe

Hannah is a poultry-2nd from right.
This is the "Select Troupe". Quite a difference in the number of performers from the Surprise cast, huh?
 Mother Swan,Ugly, & Penny
 The Swan Family

Mother Swan & Ida (Ida was played by Hannah's 1st drama teacher when she started with Moezart in MiniMoez).
 Hannah's near the right again.

I added a few of the cat because he was a fantastic cat. Our Surprise cat was good but Select Cast was phenomenal.

Mother Swan, Ugly, & a different Penny. Penny was played by 2 people. They each had their nights to perform but Hannah was the Mother Swan all nights.

I know it may be confusing but here's some more Honk! Jr. pictures. These are from the Select Troupe. Remember, that's when Moezart puts on encore performances of the play that all the valley cities just performed. It didn't cost us anything but to buy the tickets & re-sell them. It's a big honor to get picked. Hannah was a poultry & the Mother Swan in these performances of the play.  She liked the costume better & makeup was very pretty. She was excited to get a mic too. She also had a dance scene with the other girl swans during the snowstorm scene but they didn't get pictures of that:(

Hannah has a lead in the Fall semester. It's called Wild West Tales. It's a combo of 3 different western plays. She plays Ma Griggs. She and her son kidnap the daughter of the town banker (wealthy man) and hold her for ransom. The main problem is this little girl, Emily Jane, is quite a handful so no one really wants the girl back and Emily Jane wants to stay with the kidnappers too. You should come see it the weekend after Thanksgiving. Put it on your calendar:)

Honk! Jr. Surprise cast

 More swan pics.
Hannah as a poultry of some sort.

Here's a few action shots from the CD I finally got from Moezart. It was hard to narrow them down. I usually post a bunch on Facebook & just a few with Hannah on the blog. She was a poultry, swan, froglet, goose, and "snow" in the Surprise cast back in April. Lots of costume changes.

This was such an amazing play/musical. She had so much fun so she was ecstatic when the next month she was picked for the "Select Troupe". Select cast is like an encore presentation of Honk! Jr. but with kids from all over the valley. Lots of Surprise kids made it in but they may have had different parts. For the select cast Hannah was the Mother Swan and poultry. Again, tons of fun. The Select cast was much bigger and Hannah made friends with Moezart students from other classes across the valley. Those pictures will be next.

We went up to Prescott yesterday to pan for gold. Real panning-not go to a tourist place where you're guaranteed to get some fool's gold flakes. I have little patience. Todd has a bit more than me so let's just say it didn't last long. Plus, Hannah wasn't feeling well and all those bees and other bugs out in nature did not make a fun day for Joshua. Joshua did pee outside for the first time. Too much information? We walked around downtown Prescott for a little bit, stopped at McDonalds for ice cream, got Barro's Pizza for dinner, and watched movies before bed. Not a total loss of a day.

Going to plays with friends...

Over the summer we went to a couple plays with friends. The 1st picture is from "Capiche?". I'm not sure if that's spelled correctly but think of an Italian slang for "understand". The 2nd picture is from "The Music Man". Hannah enjoys going to plays but likes being in them more. Her next play, "Wild West Tales", is the week after Thanksgiving. Both of her friends in the pictures will be in it too.

Sea Life Aquarium

 Preparing to dissect a squid.
 Hey, there it is!

 Going through the aquarium.

 AHHHHHHHH!
Hannah wrote her name in squid ink. Fun!

Last month we went to the Sea Life Aquarium with some friends for "Homeschool Week". They offered dissection classes (a squid) and then you could go through the aquarium-all for $6 per person. That's a great deal. Joshua was on the fence about the dissection & once he smelled the squid he bowed out. Hannah was a champ working with her buddy & finding the ink to write her name in squid ink on her paper. We enjoyed the aquarium & time with friends.
