TBQ Minute to Win It Game Day (and trophies!)

The trophies came in! Yay! Now it's time for games:
The girls had to suck up an M&M from a cup on the back table, carry it over to this table without dropping it, and place it ever so gently on top of the straw stuck to this table. All without using their hands, of course.
The girls had to blow their feather into their cup. Again, no hands.
They had to toss a ball into their cup from far away.
They had to blow up their balloon and use the air to knock over all 3 cups.
Last year's favorite: They each had an Oreo in their foreheads and had to get it to their mouth. No hands:)

I threw this picture in since it didn't fit any "category" I took the girls to see Hansel & Gretel last week at Theater Works.

Last week we had a TBQ celebration game day. The girls got their trophies since only 1 trophy is awarded per team. Then they played Minute to Win It type games.

Then they went to their cast party at Sky Zone-a trampoline type jumping place. I have no pictures form that because I learned there's just no good shots when they are in that much motion.

After THAT, I took Hannah & 2 friends to see a play. Phew! Busy day.

Joshua's 10th Birthday Party-Let's get wet!

I like themed b-day parties. This one was a water balloon/get wet theme. Those colorful circles on the cake are supposed to be water balloons. There's a surprise inside when you scroll down:)

Look how I captured that red water balloon in mid-air. I rock!
There's various methods of water ammunition here:water balloons, sponges, water balls, squirt guns, & water sprayers. Oh, and those buckets of water eventually became a way to throw water even though I meant them to be filling stations!

Getting wet all over in the pool.
 Our handsome 10 year old.

Surprise! Not all the circles were perfectly placed but my "round/circle and colorful" theme continued inside the cake.
The kids. Hopefully they went home happy & tired.

We had Joshua's 10th birthday party on Memorial Day since his actual birthday fell right between Hannah's 2 shows of Ants'hillvania. Pushing it back made it a little more feasible to have a pool party. As the pictures show, there was a lot of water fun. Joshua got some more Lego sets (Hobbit) and a new inflatable boat since the other one didn't make it another season.

On his birthday, he opened his main presents from us. He got a Wii game (Epic Mickey 2) and a Penguins jersey. And he got to eat at Texas Roadhouse for dinner.

Our summer fun begins this week with our summer movies & Wet-n-Wild. We'll still try to get school done 2-3 days per week. Hannah may try out for the summer drama camp at the base. She hasn't decided if she wants to do it yet. Bible Quiz doesn't officially start until sometime in August but Hannah got the books on an app for her ipod so she's already starting memorizing until she gets the actual "paper" book.

Last batch of Disneyland

Either this magic lamp is new or I never noticed it tucked into a gift shop in Adventureland.
I'm guessing Hannah's wishing we never leave our happy place.

Annual Dumbo shot. I want a picture here every year even though it annoys Todd:) He'd rather take one in a "cooler" spot but this builds on tradition so I won't change!
 On Roger Rabbit's Cartoon Spin.
 On Buzz Lightyear's Astro Blasters
Yes, ANOTHER Space Mountain shot. There's more I didn't post. This is a "see no evil, speak no evil, hear no evil" shot with Todd smelling no evil.
 Pretty girl in a teacup.

With Stitch.

I really narrowed down the Disneyland pictures this time. Hope you enjoyed them.

Disneyland Part 2

 Storm Troopers out and about.
Thank goodness Todd wasn't the droid they were looking for.
 On Autopia
Hannah loves Gonzo-the hardest Muppet to find on stuff!
Our 1st time on the street car in DCA that takes you from the entrance of DCA to the Tower of Terror (or the other way around in our case).
Waiting for the Luigi's Flying Tires ride.
This is supposed to be like bumper cars (or tires) but you "guide" it by leaning left, right, forwards, or backwards. They are slow moving so you never have enough time to bump anyone. I'd only do this again if there was no one in line.
In line for Radiator Springs Racers. SO fun-the ride, not the line!
Picture they take of you in your car.
 With Minnie
 With Sulley
With Goofy. Well, ok, all 3 are goofy.

Our "throwing up" pose for Space Mountain.

More pictures from our family fun.

Disneyland May 2013 Part 1

On our 1st day-the day before quizzing:)

The driver let the kids pose as a driver on Main Street.
 Outside the Lego Store.
 More Lego creations.

One of many pictures on Space Mountain.
 Waiting for the train.
 The remodeled CA Adventure.
With the "Storytellers" Statue in DCA.
 In Carsland.
 Pacific Wharf area. Stinky!
In a teacup.

Here's some pictures from Disneyland. I'll be posting them a few at a time. I'll try to narrow them down. I just don't have the patience to do a slideshow again. So I'll TRY to stick to favorites. I'll try but I really love them all!
