The picture above is not from the State Fair but I added it "just because". It was taken at Grand Canyon University (GCU) when we went there for a tour. Several of Hannah's friends who went to go adulting attend there. This is one. We ran into her by "chance" yet I believe it was a God thing that these two got to see each other for a few moments before they each had to part ways.
Now begins the State Fair pics.....
Hannah's beach flag.
Hannah's Valentine's Day jar. It has a candle inside.
Hannah's lighthouse. I think it should have been 1st place instead of 2nd. I'm still a bit bitter about this one. It's so cute & she worked hard on it.
Joshua's beachy birdhouse.
Joshua's fall jar with a candle inside.
Hannah's beachy jewelry box.
Hannah's beachy recycled project.
Joshua's hedgehog made from folding book pages.
Joshua's flag.
Hannah's fairy jar with a candle inside. I'm a bit bitter this one didn't get 1st place too. It got 3rd. It was easy to make but so darn cute. When it's dark & the votive is turned on, it looks like you caught Tinkerbell.
Joshua's recycled project. Matchbox cars can park in all those toilet paper tubes.
Joshua's tic-tac-toe game.
Hannah & her hymnal page wreath. At least they got this one right!
Joshua's Mickey wreath.
Joshua's sunflower.
Hannah's crocheted necklace with a pretty cross she made for me for my birthday.
Joshua's beachy windchime.
Hannah's knitted scarf.
Hannah's recycle tote. She took an outgrown shirt, cut, & tied some fringe at the bottom to make a purse/tote or grocery bag. However you'd want to use it. It's a great way to upcycle well loved shirts when they're too small. Easily washable too!
This black blob is a shirt Hannah made that she covered a portion of with a ºoº head with freezer paper & then sprayed bleach over it. After it's dried & you remove the freezer paper, you should have a nice ºoº head surrounded by an orange colored splatter. I would have held it up but there was a "guard" in the section so I didn't want them to tell me not to touch our own stuff.
Joshua surfing in the rock-n-roll exhibit.
Remember this MTV icon form when MTV played cool music?
Hannah walked away & pretended not to notice her family during the above pic.
We love the wallabies.
These chicks never did slide down for us:(
Lots of baby chick pics for Joshua....
We went to the State Fair on Oct 12th. We checked out all of the kids' entries, went through the rock-n-roll exhibit, and checked out the animals as usual. I think Hannah earned $33 & Joshua earned $39 but I don't remember exactly. Something like that.
