Snow Day 2013

At Grandma & Papa's house on Sunday.
Joshua catching snowflakes on his tongue.
 View from INSIDE.
 In Flagstaff on Monday.

We went to play in the snow a couple days ago. We went up to Strawberry on Sunday & it snowed pretty heavy there so the kids got to see snow fall for the first time. We spent the night there and headed to Flagstaff on Monday morning. It snowed lightly while we were sledding too. The pictures are self-explanatory. We got home Monday late afternoon.

The kids have a "cupcake wars" type Valentine's Day party tomorrow. That's always fun. Not too much exciting stuff is coming up. It may take a couple more months to have good pictures of anything.

 Traditional silly picture.
With friends before going to see Slim Goodbody.
In front of the Orpheum Theater downtown (obviously!).

Before quizzing-TBQ'ers. Last meet of regular season.
 See the trend???
All of God's Girlz TBQ team & some JBQ team our for lunch after a busy quiz day.

Top pictures are of both God's Girlz teams during a JBQ meet. The bottom pics are after a TBQ meet. The Teens had an extraordinary season. At the last meet, this past Saturday, the girls went 8 & 1. Total record was 28 & 3. Hannah had 3 quiz outs during the last meet. During one match, THREE girls had quiz outs! Pretty cool. State competition is next month.

Mixed in there are pictures at the Orpheum Theater when we went to see Slim Goodbody. It's a one man show with music & visuals to teach kids about their body and healthy choices. The theater is beautiful & Hannah would love to perform there some day:)

Here's a few pictures from a TBQ match. I can't remember which one but the TBQ team just had their final meet this past Saturday-pictures from that one will be coming soon. Final regular season record ended up being 28 Wins and 3 Losses. Amazing!!!! They go to State next month. If they are one of the top 2 teams, they go to Regionals in May (in California).

Wow. Sorry for not posting pictures since November! I didn't think we did anything particularly exciting so I haven't posted but I have found a few things to post now that I've gone back through the pictures. I'll start with these around Christmas & then list some JBQ/TBQ stuff before moving on to our Snow Day(s) this weekend.

 Another family shot.
Flamenco dancers in character.

Here's the rest of the Wild West Tales pictures. In a few months I'll have the action shots from the play since we weren't allowed to take pictures during the performances.

Hannah had a lead in The Ransom of Emily Jane. She was Ma Griggs, a kind hearted kidnapper. She and her son, Sonny, kidnap Emily Jane Dorset. Emily Jane is the daughter of the richest man in the county so she should fetch about $2000 easy. Well, Emily Jane is pretty excited about being kidnapped & has no intention of going home. She's pretty hard on Sonny. Notice the bruise she gave him on his leg in one of the pictures. Emily Jane's governess finds them at the hideout so she ends up kidnapped too. After some more time with Emily Jane, the kidnappers decide $2000 is a bit much and the ransom gets dropped down to $500 for the lively child. Some time after Mr. Dorset gets the ransom letter, he arrives with a counter proposition. He thinks $500 is too high. He thinks that Ma & Sonny should pay HIM $250 to take his daughter off their hands. Also, he suggests they never show their faces in town again lest the townspeople find out that they're the ones who returned Emily Jane to town. They gladly pay him & run out of town.

Hannah was a "live set" person for Slim & Miss Primm. That's hard to explain but she was in all black & held up grass & signs.
She was also a flamenco dancer in The Feud of Paradise, Texas.
She had tons of fun & is sad it's over, of course.

Pics before the show. Everyone is in costume for the 1st play: The Ransom of Emily Jane.
Below are some gossip ladies, Ma-the kidnapper, & Emily Jane.
Below is Ma with 2 of the town gossips, Mrs. Chatterley & Mrs. Pryor. The other gossip lady is Mrs. Tattler. Get it?

 Me & our star-above.
Below is the incredibly amazing cast poster made by one of Hannah's friends/cast mates. It was sooooo cool. Everyone's picture was a wanted poster & it listed what they were wanted for. Too cute!
Here's a close up of Hannah's wanted poster (aka her Bio).
Below is Hannah & friends after The Feud of Paradise, TX. She was a flamenco dancer in that one.
The picture below has 4 actors plus a friend who came to watch. All these girls were last season's JBQ God's Girlz who went to Nationals:)
 Below is the brotherly support.

The picture above is with cast mates that are this year's TBQ God's Girlz team.

Here's the pictures from Wild West Tales on opening night. I have some more from the 2nd show that I'll post later. Enjoy!
