Disney College Program ~~~Take 2

 

Let's start the Disney pics with some pretty exciting ones: Earning the ears & getting that name tag!! These are self explanatory, of course. The class she had to sit through was worth it as her boss, Mickey himself made an appearance. While the class was not at Disney University as it has been in the past, a group of girls drove over there anyway for the infamous photo op. So some of these are from there & some at her complex where the classes were held this year. I'll work backwards for a bit now. Next up are pics from Hannah & Todd as he dropped her off and their time together getting her settled & a little park fun before he had to come home.

Joshua's Graduation May 28, 2021

Lots of graduation pictures of the graduate, family & friends. And with these, the homeschool journey (or major experiment) is over. Thankfully my new job keeps me connected to the amazing community of homeschoolers where I can be a help and encouragement to future homeschoolers like those before me helped me.

The pic of Joshua & Hannah with his friends is a duplicate from his b-day post but that pic was blurry. This one is nicer from Hannah's phone so I'm reposting it. We also went to Uptown Alley with Todd's parents for their visit.

 

Joshua's 18th B-day

 I'm more than a little behind on pictures so I'm doing smaller batches out of order. Joshua requested a Star Wars cake & he picked this design off the internet that we both worked on re-creating. We went to Peter Piper Pizza with friends because where else do you go when you're an adult but a place with fond childhood memories. Two grown adult men stopped by the cake to admire it AND take pictures of it. 

After pizza we went to Uptown Alley for bowling & laser tag.  

Get ready for an onslaught of Disney related pics for the next 6 months or longer as I have vacation pics from our first ever trip to DisneyWorld! And on our way home (driving) we found out the Disney College Program opened back up, Hannah applied, was accepted (again), and Todd just drove her back last week. She sends me pics which will make their way to the blog. So Ihave some catching up to do from vacation. I'm procrastinating as it's a pain to upload pics from my camera and other's phones as well as our photo pass pics.

Other exciting news (to me) is I started a new job at a homeschool resource center/used book store when we got back from vacation and I love it. My co-workers are beyond nice & fun. The customers are nice so far. I've been pricing & shelving books which is just up my alley. The only draw back is it's far away in rush hour type freeway traffic but it's a small sacrifice to pay over a job that pretty much sucks all around.  

But before I get to Disney pics, I'll need to post Joshua's graduation pics.

Family Pictures & Joshua's senior pics

 It was finally (and a bit sadly) time for Joshua's senior pictures. It's been more than a few years since we had a professional picture of the family so we got these done. The same lovely homeschool & MoezArt mom that took Hannah's beautiful senior pics did these for us. Of course Joshua was a less willing participant so we had her just take a few of him. I made a compromise on clothes since he only has t-shirts & athletic pants/shorts. The button up shirt covered a tropical theme we like but if you were to zoom in, it has R2D2 droids & Millenium Falcons in the trees to cover a love of Star Wars theme.

My Mom's 80th Birthday

 Here are some pics from my Mom's 80th birthday on March 7th. We went up to Payson for lunch. My brother came in from Montana as a surprise for her. 

We haven't had too much going on. Just working mostly & Hannah is still working hard at GCU as a junior. She has 3 jobs but mostly works at 2 of them. Sadly, one of those is as a cast member at the Disney Store but they announced with very short notice that her store is one of many closing across the nation. We did manage to get a trip to Disney World planned for next month before that happened that they'll still honor the cast member prices for. Joshua graduates in May so it's kind of an early gift like when we went to Hawaii before Hannah's graduation a bit early.  I do have some family pictures and his senior pics coming up soon.
