Hannah's mason jar luminary. It may be broke & that's why they put it in a dish. The lady in charge said they both broke & they'd be paid $10 for each so we'll see if they follow through. We couldn't find Joshua's so we are assuming it broke pretty bad.

Hannah's dough art.

Here are most of the state fair pictures. After loading them all I know I missed at least 1 picture-Hannah crocheted a hat. Anyway, between all the home arts & culinary entries that you can earn prize money for, between the two of the kids they earned over $100. $103 as of now. We don't know if Joshua's luminary placed before it broke so it could be more. IF they do compensate for the broken luminaries then add an extra $20 to the total. Not bad. I earned $5. Yay for me:)

TBQ Meet #1

Quick picture of the cupcakes Hannah brought to share with her cast for her birthdayºoº
The girlz getting ready for their first match.
Our much smaller God's Girlz team.

God's Girlz had their first meet of the season this past Saturday. They only lost one match & it came down to the last question so it was very close. They won the rest of the matches. I'll have stats later.

JBQ practice meet

 The all boy Compass Kidz

Here's a few pictures from Joshua's JBQ "practice" meet. It was a practice for the officials to make sure they were officiating correctly so none of the stats were recorded into the standings. But they won 2 & lost 2 that day. This season they'll be moving up to the "A" league so losses were expected. They know their stuff but they do need to be faster on the buzzer.

I have pictures to post of Hannah's 1st TBQ match (which counts!) and State Fair pictures but I'll probably post them out of order. The Fair was first but since there are so many more to post, I'll do those last. It doesn't really matter, does it?

Hoedown

 With friends.
 In jail.

 With more friends.
 Trying some dancing.

These are pictures from the Moezart Hoedown fundraiser event. It's the first year Hannah has gone. They have one every year with dinner, dancing,an auction, and a little jail time. Hannah went to jail once. It cost $1 to have someone arrested for 15 minutes. It cost $1 to bail someone out early. There were quite a few kids resisting arrest. We passed on the dinner:) Hannah had fun.

We've got a lot of stuff coming up. State Fair culinary entries are due on Tuesday so there will be baking going on tomorrow. Bible Quiz season starts up with a practice match for Joshua's league to get officials acquainted with the new scorekeeping procedures. Hannah's 1st meet is later this month.

Hannah's newest crocheted creation.

Hannah has sold her ruffle scarves for almost 2 years and made some good money on those. She's paid for theater tuition many times and had some spending money. We though it was time to add something new to the mix. She crochets these lightweight necklaces that are also adjustable. They sell for $5-$6 depending on the number of strands. She just started selling them a little over a week ago and has sold 6 and has an order for 3 more. I was never a scarf person so it was hard to wear them to advertise for her plus even light decorative scarves only have a short span in AZ to wear. These can be worn year round & are less expensive.

She needs to earn a lot more in the next few months because she wants to audition for Moezart's Community Theater program in the summer. While there's no "tuition" for that you do have to buy 20 tickets (at $15 each) in advance & hope you sell them all to recoup your money. She'll probably sell some of them but any tickets left over are a loss. So instead of earning $640 per year, she needs to earn $940. I'm hoping the lower price tag will bring more sales for her.

I love them so it's easy for me to advertise them for her. I'm her walking billboard!
