The last couple pictures are out of order & I don't know how to fix them. The kids are eating beignets in the one just above Hannah playing air hockey.
After a super long day Saturday for TBQ that started with me getting up at 3:30 & waking others up to get going, arriving in CA,lunch,Regionals, beach, & Cold Stone, we were exhausted but we weren't quite ready to go home on Sunday.
Sunday morning we had breakfast, the boys went to use the pool & hot tub when it opened at 9am while Hannah & I got ready. After we checked out we made it to Downtown Disney around 11am to eat & shop. And to look longingly at our happy place that we couldn't afford.
We made the best of it. We ate at Jazz Kitchen Express. Hannah wanted to actually buy something in Marceline's Confectionery. We've been in there many times but never splurged on their cute & expensive desserts. Hannah chose a Mickey cake pop in red velvet which meant none of us wanted just a little bite! She also got a chocolate Olaf cake pop. I shared a huge Mickey chocolate chip cookie with Joshua.
We made our way to the World of Disney Store. It's huge & we expected to be there awhile because Hannah is a detailed shopper! She takes her time in deciding. Usually when we go for a long visit, we take a look at what she might want to buy. Then she thinks about it for a few days & we go back at the end of our trip to buy. We didn't have that luxury! She had to make decisions within an hour:)
It turns out that the pin she was hoping to buy (a 60th anniversary pin) hasn't been released yet. So she settled for a World of Color pin. She also bought Joshua an Avengers pin for his birthday.
The kids also went in on buying me a belated birthday gift-a puzzle of the Disneyland map and a new antenna ball (Sorcerer Mickey). Joshua bought another pin and one of those fancy art "letters" from the kiosk outside the store. Hannah had one made a few years ago with the "H" in her name as Tinkerbell & Aurora. Joshua had the "J" be made with Olaf. It's the same technique we have on the "Smith" one in the living room.
After the shopping we made another stop at Jazz Kitchen Express for the beignets. The other desserts we bought were for later on the ride home & Monday.
The kids wanted to stop at the gift shop at Knott's to see if there was any new Snoopy merchandise since we were there after Regionals last year. There wasn't anything they just had to have so we left there to eat at Shakeys before heading home. We got home around 11pm.
Since Todd took Monday off, he wanted to see the Avengers movie so we all obliged by going with him:)
That's it for pictures for now. I guess the next event will be Joshua's birthday-big #12!
Hannah is auditioning for Honk! in a couple weeks. Moezart is performing it for community theater this summer which is usually 18+ but they might be able to use younger ages in the chorus. She's always said she wanted to do that one again. It's one of my favorites too. That's about it for May.
