The boys before their first match.
The boys at the end of the day.
Lunch at Culvers before heading home.
Joshua's team, Compass Kidz, had their 2nd meet of the season in Tucson this past Saturday. With a 2 hour drive to get there by 8:45, we had quite an early start. They got 7 matches in. They won 3 & lost 4. This was not bad considering they only had a few practices since their 1st meet. One of his team mates had a hip surgery in November & December was busy with Hannah's play (and Christmas, then New Years). Not much got done. The boys know their stuff but are still in need of being faster on the buzzer. Some of their competition has been doing this for almost their whole lives! I think they're holding their own in the A league. Also, one of those matches came down to the last question so we were so close to being 4/3.
Here' s the stats:

7th round-loss-240-75

I wanted to share a picture & guess from a recent Telestrations round. Telestrations is a bit of a cross between Telephone & Pictionary. You have to draw your picture & pass it on tho the next person who then has to guess what you drew. Then the guess gets passed to the next person who tries to draw that guess and so on. The more people you have the more humorous it gets. We do pretty well having an artist in the game but Joshua's guesses usually throw things off. Also, each sketch book being passed around is of a different word/clue. After the round is over, you end up with your sketch book & you see how horribly wrong it went. Fun!
So I loved Hannah's attention to detail & extra imagination on Todd's picture of the word "Goose". It was a very good goose, of course, but check out her guess.
