This was the week we picked to go play in the snow (the week the last of the kids go back to school). We decided to go up north Thursday after Todd got off work & stayed at Ft. Tuthill near Flagstaff. You need military ID to stay there. Todd had stayed overnight in Yuma at the Army proving grounds on Wednesday for work. We left Thursday and got up there around 4pm to our cabin. We played in the snow a little bit before it got dark & then went for dinner in Flagstaff. After we got back to the cabin we played games-Uno (Disney version of course) & Yahtzee, then off to bed.
We checked out Friday, had lunch in Flagstaff, & drove to Crowley Pit to go sledding. I'm not sure if that's still considered "in" Flagstaff or not. It was busier than last year but not as crowded as the year before that. Hannah had a wipeout when she braved a steep & bumpy hill. Joshua hurt his back on a bumpy area. He was a little airborne and landed on his back on the sled hard. I took him to the van for a little bit. I think he was mostly embarrassed. He wasn't seriously hurt & went back to easy hills about 10 minutes later. He told me before he got hurt that he wanted to do the bumpy hill so he could "practice being a man". I was glad he was okay & I am not ready for him to be a man!
We left around 2:45 or so to go to my parents house in Strawberry. Hannah did not feel well at dinner time & got sick. After throwing up she felt better & we played some games with Grandma-Uno again & Disney Trivial Pursuit.
We left Strawberry later this morning & got home around 12:15. I'm busy posting pictures, doing laundry , & putting away all that "stuff" while Todd & the kids watch the football game. So that's our excitement for this week.
